Whether you are studying or working in Barcelona you will never run out of things to do and see.
Barcelona's most famous architect, Antonio Gaudí, has left his mark on the Catalan capital with his interesting imagination and buildings, which look like huge cakes draped in icing full of colors.
Modernism is Gaudí's creative interpretation of Art Nouveau, which is most evident in Parc Guell and his biggest project: la Sagrada Familia.
This very unique cathedral, which Gaudi took most of his time to build which has not yet been finished due to his death. Gaudí left an undeniable mark on this city, creating a booming industry in brightly colored ceramic tiles and making other architects inspired to visit it.

To find famous brands like Chanel, Armani, Cartier, Miró, Mont Blanc or Zara, visit Plaça Catalunya, Passeig de Gràcia or Diagonal. All of these brands can be found here.
If you´re not into spending lots of money on big brands, check out “El Born”. This part of town has still not been discovered as a shopping area , so it´s quite stimulating to stroll around the winding streets of the old town and discover little shops, new brands and innovative designs.
The Gothic Area (Barrí Gothic), invites you to combine shopping and culture. The Roman center of Barcelona has a lot of little bizarre antique shops, small bookstores and young fashion designers. If you are looking for music stores, second hand shops, or alternative clothing, go and visit “El Raval”.
